Top of the Paps

I was browsing the racks in the HMV sale the other day. Over the speakers some undistinguished nonentity was performing a piece of brainless pap which had been carefully constructed such that its revenue earning potential was in inverse proportion to any evidence of creativity or talent. When it dribbled to an end a voiceover informed us that it had been a 'timeless classic'.
